The aim of the School Library Interest Group is to provide a forum for Nova Scotia Library Association members to discuss school library issues.
Goals:
- To increase awareness of school library issues
- To provide support to members working in school libraries
- To identify areas for professional development
- To assist individuals, NSLA and other associations in organizing workshops or teleconferences for school library workers.
- To cooperate with other related groups and associations
- To participate as a group at the NSLA annual conference
Membership:
To be a recognized interest group within NSLA, the group must consist of no less than three members in good standing of NSLA. Individuals or groups who have a similar interest may work with the interest group, even if not members of NSLA.
Reports:
A report is submitted to the NSLA Vice-President for presentation at the Annual General meeting. If funding has been given to the interest group, a financial statement should accompany the report.
